A special prayer station has been set up in Manchester Cathedral to remember those killed in the Paris shooting this week.

We mourn with all the families and loved ones who grieve these senseless deaths and pray for God's comfort and strength at this time of terrible tragedy and sadness. At this time of the Church’s year, we celebrate the gift to the world of the Christ Child and remember how that gift is revealed through love, peace and reconciliation. We remember all who are unable to celebrate because of these killings. May God's peace and love continue to spread around God's world during this holy season and always.  The people of Greater Manchester will continue to strive for peace and unity in our city and wider world.

Please come in for a time to light a candle and pray for the people of France, for those who have died, those who are mourning and for peace in 2015 throughout the world.
