Organ dismantling will commence on Wednesday 8 July and will involve the closure of the south quire aisle for a period of approximately three weeks, followed by a closure of the north quire aisle for two weeks.
Scaffolding works inside the Cathedral will commence on Thursday 9 July and be in-situ until November 2015. Areas affected by the scaffolding will include the Jesus Chapel and south quire aisle. The Fraser Chapel will be closed to the public throughout. This is to enable the south aisle roof repairs, which are being funded by the WWI Centenary Cathedral Repairs Fund.
Please expect limited access to some areas of the Cathedral at various times during the works – please refer to the Schedule of Works for more information.
Thank you for your patience and cooperation during this busy time.
