In this time when we are closed to visitors because of the Covid19 pandemic, Manchester Cathedral invites you to visit our virtual art exhibition Aspects of Black by the German artist and death and grief counsellor Dorothea Stockmar and her husband Axel Stockmar. This exhibition is about black, the colour which is an absence of colour. She writes, 'Black encourages searching for another framing of everyday reality.... it stands in opposition to a colourful life, longing for resolution at the threshold of another world.' We hope that this exhibition will help you to think and prayer during this time of colour and darkness, emptiness and abundance.
