Join the Caribbean African Health Network (CAHN) at Manchester Cathedral for the Civic launch of Black History Month on Thursday 28 September from 6.30 - 9pm.
This year's theme is dedicated to black women as we celebrate our sisters and honour them for the contributions they have made to society.
The keynote speaker is Professor Dame Elizabeth Nneka Anionwu, OM DBE FRCN. Made a Dame in the 2017 Queen’s Birthday Honours List, she won the Pride of Britain Lifetime Achievement Award in 2019, and was named one of the BBC’s 100 Women of the Year in 2020.
Other speakers include Mayor Greater Manchester Andy Burnham, Barrister Christian Weaver, and CEO of Mosscare St Vincent and Chair of Greater Manchester Housing Providers Charlotte Norman.
