Cathedral Flower Arrangers required

Manchester Cathedral is looking for volunteers to join the teams who provide flower arrangements for the Cathedral.  Volunteers work in small teams of four usually on a Friday but sometimes on other days if necessary.

Arrangements usually consist of 3 main pedestals plus a smaller one and any others if there are special requirements.  A weekly flower budget is paid for by the Cathedral, the Cathedral purchases and transports the flowers to the Cathedral.

Cathedral Flower Arrangers should have an appropriate level of skill and be able to work to a large scale.  An eye for colour and design are important, as is a knowledge of flowers, their conditioning and the "mechanics" of arrangements, and newcomers will be shown the preferred method for Manchester Cathedral used in the 3 main pedestals.  New arrangers will be required to show they can fulfil the role competently and reliably.
