Dean to thank volunteers at Summer Garden Party

The Dean will welcome volunteers from throughout the Cathedral community to his annual Volunteers’ Party on August 13.

The Very Reverend Rogers Govender, Dean of Manchester, will host the Summer Garden Party at his home, The Deanery, to thank volunteers for their tireless work and commitment to the Cathedral.

Volunteers coming together to celebrate include members of the Cathedral Council, the voluntary choir, Friends of Manchester Cathedral, flower arrangers, stewards and those involve with the Volition charity which aims to help people back into employment.

The is the first volunteer’s party that has been able to take place since the before the pandemic so promises to be an extra special occasion for the Cathedral Community to come together.
