Holy Land Pilgrimage

During the pilgrimage the group visited Bethlehem, the birth place of Jesus, the Garden of Gethsemane, and walked the 14 stations of the Cross through the Via Dolorosa to the Church of the Holy Sepulche where pilgrims touched the rock where Christ was crucified. The pilgrimage also took in the Sea of Galilee where we celebrated the Holy Eucharist at sea on a replica ‘Jesus Boat’; into the West Bank and the River Jordan where pilgrims renewed their baptismal vows; the Mount of Temptation in Jericho; the Church of the Annunciation in Nazareth; and the birth place where Christ performed his first miracle in Cana.

There is an exhibition of photographs all along the south wall of Manchester Cathedral.
