A warm welcome to the new manager of our Visitor Centre, Nita Saleem. A few words of introduction from Nita follow:
My name is Nita Saleem and I am the newly appointed Manchester Cathedral Visitor Centre Manager. I am honoured to be working for an institution that epitomises Manchester’s vibrant community. I have worked for the community both in the education sector as an early years practitioner and as a civilian officer for the Metropolitan police service in London .
I have a degree in Law and sociology, as well as a HND in Business and Finance which I gained whilst studying at Middlesex and London Guildhall University. I’m a passionate theatre and music concertgoer and enjoy walking the hills of Manchester and beyond with my trusted pet dog Marcus. My greatest achievement to date is raising 5 children , running a marathon and learning to row a single scull on Manchester canal in freezing January conditions!!
