Introducing our new Verger

On Monday 9 July we welcomed Danny Pritchard Shepherd to the staff team as our third verger. Here are some words from Danny:

“Hello all, my name is Danny. I am a strong believer in God’s gifts of love and compassion; as such I am a vegan due to a love of animals. Alongside this I also volunteer twice a week at Barnabus, which is a homeless day centre, due to my love for the rest of humanity. I am a self-confessed geek with an enjoyment of Doctor Who, Call the Midwife and Star Trek. I have also recently completed my BA in Practical Theology at the Nazarene Theological College. I am looking forward to working at Manchester Cathedral as this will allow me to rediscover my Anglican roots whilst serving a city that I have come to love.”
