Manchester Cathedral Poetry Competition 2023 Prize Ceremony

Join us at 7pm on 23 January as we celebrate the winning and highly commended entries of the Manchester Cathedral Poetry Competition 2023.

Dean Rogers Govender, along with Cathedral Writer in Residence Tom Branfoot, invite you to the Cathedral's sunning Nave to hear the winning and highly commended entries read by their authors.

In unanimous agreement, Ruth Hobson was voted the overall winner of the competition with her poem Brigid, a tale steeped in Irish mythology of the goddess whom poets adored.

Second prize has been awarded to Let Me Say It Like This by Rachel Rankin, and third prize to Oxford English Dictionary by Isabel Palmer.
