Manchester Cathedral presents Christmas Movies

We have been celebrating Christmas here for over 500 years. This year, for the first time alongside our wonderful carol concerts and services, we are showing some of your favourite Christmas movies in the spectacular setting of this medieval Manchester church.

On Friday 4 December, we will be opening our doors to Kermit, Miss Piggy and their friends for a 6.30pm screening of the all-time classic, The Muppet Christmas Carol. At 8.30pm, Will Ferrell stars as Buddy, a human being who has spent his whole life believing himself to be an elf.

On Saturday 5 December, tissues at the ready as The Snowman flies into the Cathedral at 7.30pm followed by the opportunity to see the epic modern Disney classic, Frozen, as you have never seen it before.

Take a break from Christmas shopping, dress up as your favourite character, dig out your Christmas jumpers and enjoy themed cocktails, mocktails, popcorn and sweets from our specially themed bar.

Tickets are limited, booking is essential for what is set to be the hottest ticket and the coolest cinema experience of the festive season!

Doors open 30 minutes before the start time.
