Today we welcomed our new Communications and Marketing Officer, Angela Kirk, to Manchester Cathedral. Angela will be responsible for helping the Dean and Chapter to extend its holistic vision for prayer, worship, and missional outreach through all aspects of online communications and service. Alongside this primary responsbility, Angela will also help to promote the Cathedral as a commercial venue for hire to make us financially sustainable for the medium to long term. Angela says, "Hi everyone, my name is Angela and I’m Manchester Cathedral’s new Marketing and Communications Officer. I have just arrived from Manchester Jazz Festival where I was their Communications Director for four years, and I’ve also worked in communications, marketing and PR roles at Imperial War Museum North, Wigan Youth Zone and Wigan Council. I originally started my career as a reporter at The Lancaster Guardian many years ago. I’m really excited to join the team and I look forward to meeting everyone involved in the Cathedral’s work."
