In line with advice from HM Government and the Church of England, and respecting strict social distancing, Manchester Cathedral will be open to the public for private prayer only from Monday 15 June.

Opening times are as follows:

Monday to Friday

10am to 12.30pm
2pm to 4pm

Saturday and Sunday
12pm to 4pm

Visitors wishing to pray will be asked to use hand sanitiser upon entry at the South Door. There will be a one-way route enabling visitors to light a candle and to pray before being guided to the exit at the East Door where visitors will be asked to use hand sanitiser once again. Visitors are asked to follow the guidance of Cathedral staff and to maintain a distance of two metres from all other people outside of their own household (or newly created ‘bubble’) as per Government guidance.

Manchester Cathedral remains closed for public acts of worship. However, our daily cycle of prayer continues and the Cathedral Clergy will continue to lead and attend daily services on behalf of the whole people of God until advice changes and we can, once again, welcome visitors to attend services.

Services will continue to be live streamed via Facebook and they are open to all.
