St George's Day Quarter Peal Attempt

St George is one of our patron saints and to celebrate St George's Day, the Cathedral bell ringers attempted a quarter peal attempt.   A quarter peal on the ten Cathedral bells is in the region on 1260 changes and should take between 50 to 60 minutes depending on the speed of the ringing.  Five of our own ringers took part, five others came from as far away as Leeds in one direction and Chester in the other.

Well done to the ringers who successfully completed the quarter peal.
