Sleep out from home
Every year we meet at Manchester Cathedral to celebrate the talents of people who visit the Booth Centre, to share the reality of homelessness in Manchester and to offer a glimpse into rough sleeping. We can’t meet at the Cathedral this year so we are asking you to join us from home – this can be by sleeping outside in your private space or sleeping inside in a shared room, perhaps on the sofa.

You can't experience the danger or isolation of being homeless in just one night, or suffer from the long-term effect of this on physical and mental health, but you can challenge yourself to be uncomfortable, maybe cold and damp whilst raising funds for the Booth Centre.  Find out more at: https://www.boothcentre.org.uk/sleepout-registration.html

Share the sleepout with others online through the night
We know The Manchester Sleepout is about much more than sleeping out and we will be recreating those moving and memorable moments virtually. Just like in previous years the Booth Centre team will be there to answer questions and share insights, we’ll have videos showing the skills and talents of our community and there will be opportunity for you to learn, engage and discuss how we are working to end homelessness in all its forms.

Special support for the homeless during Covid19
Our commitment to supporting people into permanent homes has never been needed more than it is now. During the Spring-Summer lockdown lots more people were able to access single room accommodation, receive 3 healthy meals a day and regular wellbeing check-ins. Now, we face a second wave of the virus in Winter and people need homes. We know that getting the keys to your own front door isn't the end of the story; our holistic approach supports people to not just start a tenancy but to maintain it so that the cycle of homelessness can end.

Register now and start signing up your sponsors
In previous years we’ve had 500 people sleeping out at the Cathedral raising £150,000. In a year of cancelled events and opportunities we don’t want to cancel our biggest event.  With friends and families able to take part, we would like to raise even more.  To enable all to take part, we are asking for a small registration fee of £5 to cover our costs, and asking each person to aim to raise £130 in sponsorship.
