MANCHESTER CATHEDRAL DEVELOPMENT PROJECT

The Dean and Chapter are keen to set up a fundraising group that focuses on accessing funds from Charitable Trusts. This is potentially to assist with a range of different things: the Cathedral Volunteer Programme, the Cathedral's education work, the work of the Cathedral Choir, and the proposed work on the Cathedral fabric (the roof, the lighting, the organ). If you have any experience of this sort of work, or would be willing to acquire some of the skills, then we’d like to hear from you.

In particular, if you have any of these skills or experience?

• Experience of writing funding bids to Charitable Trusts
• Financial planning
• The ability to write well and tell our story – the Cathedral has many good stories to tell!
• Basic IT
• A team player

If so, we would like to invite you to attend one of the diocesan training events on: “Introduction to Fundraising and Grantnet” on 4th floor Training Suite, in Church House, 90 Deansgate.

Tuesday 18 September 2pm to 4pm.

(Grantnet is an online database of charitable, statutory and company funding streams)

Following this, we would hope you could join our fundraising team at the Cathedral in preparing applications to trusts and foundations. If you are interested, please contact Anthony O’Connor on 0161 833 2220 ext 233.  To reserve a training place please contact Simon Ambrose 0161 828 1410.
