Welcome to our new Chief Operating Officer

This week we welcomed our new Chief Operating Officer, Neil Holland, to Manchester Cathedral.  

Neil will be responsible for helping the Dean and Chapter ensure the smooth running of the Cathedral, particularly in terms of Safeguarding, the new Cathedral Measures and HR. 

He says: “Hello, I’m Neil, Chief Operating Officer (COO). I’m new to Manchester Cathedral, but not to the world of Cathedrals; for 13 years I worked at Wakefield Cathedral, where I was firstly Office Manager and then later COO. I live in Huddersfield with my husband George and, as a fiercely proud Lancastrian, it’s a joy to be working back on this side of the hills once more.  I’m settling in here nicely thanks to my wonderful new colleagues and I’m looking forward to meeting more of the Cathedral community over the coming weeks.
